Designed for the luncheon room of the Argyle Street tearooms in Glasgow, these chairs still show characteristic Jugendstil elements. It was only later that Mackintosh was to design 'modernist' furniture. The particularly beautiful woodworks make this chair a nice decorative element to a room, yet it is not too suitable for longer sessions.
