The Tulip Chairs are icons of modern design and led the way for generations of designer chairs inspired by Saarinen's curved naturalistic forms. Its joyful aesthetic makes the Tulip Chair a contemporary and verstile seating even today.
Eero Saarinen intially envisioned a chair completley made of plastic when developing the Tulip series and was quite disappointed when this proved disadvantageous for stability and durability. He might be pleased to know that his solution then stood the test of time even with todays technological possibilities. For this reason steelform adheres to the original version with the shell produced in fiberglass and the base in cast aluminum.

The Tulip Armchair blossoms most impressively when standing free but can be beautifully combined with all tables with central base, especially with the Tulip Dining Tables.
