Charles Mackintosh: Argyle Chair

This chair was designed for the luncheon room of the Argyle Street tearooms in Glasgow It still shows characteristic Jugendstil elements and it was only later that Mackintosh was to design 'modernist' furniture. The particularly beautiful woodworks make the Argyle chair a nice decorative element to a room, yet it is not too suitable for longer sessions.
